About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Art Class Assistant to support our lead teachers in creating a smooth, engaging, and enriching experience for students. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids, has an appreciation for art in any form, and is excited to be part of a creative community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in setting up and organizing the classroom before each session
Help children with their projects, offering guidance and encouragement
Supervise and engage kids during breaks, leading games and activities as needed
Ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all students
Support classroom management by reinforcing positive behavior and participation
Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and communicating with parents if needed
Depending on experience and progress, opportunities to co-teach may be available
Requirements
Experienced with kids – Whether through previous work, babysitting, volunteering, or mentoring, you have experience interacting with and guiding children in a structured setting
Passionate about art – You may have a background in visual arts, crafting, photography, pottery, or simply a strong appreciation for creativity
Reliable and proactive – You take initiative, anticipate needs, and step in to help wherever necessary
Energetic and positive – You enjoy engaging with kids and creating a fun, welcoming environment
Team player – You’re comfortable working alongside teachers and other staff to ensure smooth operations
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But a Plus!):
Experience working in an art studio, summer camp, or after-school program
Basic knowledge of art materials and techniques
Interest in co-teaching or developing instructional skills over time
